Anyone with normal colour vision can see about 10 million colours, but without a colour system to define them, communication is impossible. Ideally a colour system is required which can be used from concept, through visualisation, specification and production to realisation.

Preferably this colour system should be based on how we see colour since we all see colour in the same way - and it should be independent of language and culture, so that it can be used internationally.
